Rice Husk Supply Remains Tight – Biomass Prices Stay High (March 1, 2026)

AN NGUYEN PHAT Rice Husk Biomass Pellets   Rice husks remain in short supply on the market, keeping the rice husk biomass fuel market at a high price level. Orders already signed with factories are putting pressure on biomass producers. Based on the expectation of abundant rice husk supply after Tet, many previous quotations were offered at expected prices. However, with the current rice export situation, biomass producers of rice husk pellets and ground rice husks are facing difficulties.

Limited Supply – Prices Remain High

Normally, after Tet, during the Winter–Spring crop season, the market expects rice husk supply to become more abundant due to increased rice milling activities.

However, because rice exports have not yet recovered, many rice mills are still operating at a limited capacity. As a result:

  • 🌾 Rice husk supply has not increased as expected.
  • 🔥 Raw rice husk prices remain high.
  • 📈 Prices of rice husk pellets and ground rice husks continue to stay high.

Pressure from Previously Signed Contracts

Many biomass producers signed supply contracts with factories before Tet based on the expectation that raw material prices would decrease.

However, the current market situation means:

  • Previous quotations are under significant pressure.
  • Profit margins have narrowed.
  • Producers of rice husk pellets and ground rice husks are facing difficulties.

Market Outlook

The market currently depends largely on:

  • Rice export performance.
  • Winter–Spring paddy purchasing.
  • Actual rice milling output during March.

If rice exports improve, rice husk supply may increase and prices may decline. However, in the short term, prices are expected to remain high.

AN NGUYEN PHAT currently supplies rice husk pellets to Phu My Industrial Park, Long Thanh Industrial Park, Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park (Tay Ninh), Amata Industrial Park, Tay Bac Cu Chi Industrial Park, VSIP Industrial Park, and others.
